I was born in Jerusalem. At a young age I moved with my family to an orange and avocado farm in central Israel. It was there that I developed a love and appreciation of nature and the outdoors and the joy of photographing it. In 1988 I emigrated with my wife and son from Israel to the U.S. We first settled in southern California, and then after some years, relocated to Petaluma in northern California. In 2019 my wife and I moved to the Big Apple, New York City, to be near our three grandchildren.

I started my professional photography career doing weddings and children's sporting events later expanding into landscape and travel photography. In addition to being a photographer, I am a retired finished carpenter, a profession that allowed me to make use of my creative and artistic nature.

Since getting my first camera at the age of 13, photography has been my passion. I have also been an avid traveler. Since my retirement, I have been able to indulge more expansively in both of my passions. I have had the good fortune to have lived in and traveled to some of the most amazing places in the world. With my wife I have visited Petra in Jordan; swam in the Red Sea in Israel; climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa and rode a gondola in Italy; crossed the Panama Canal; and have seen the beauty of the city of Prague in the Czech Republic, just to name a few. From a more local perspective, a couple of my favorite trips included visiting Niagara Falls and experiencing a New England Fall. My trips to the Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park are also among my favorites. I invite you to view my photo gallery with the hopes you experience the same joy I did visiting them.

In order to never miss a photo opportunity, I always travel with my equipment. For color photos I use a Canon digital camera and Canon L series lenses. I also continue to work extensively with still black and white film.
